For some reason a lot of us that live in London end up being fascinated by the city’s old transport links and networks – a Tube geek hides within most of us.
A lesser loved transport infrastructure in the UK are the man-made waterways, and the Regent’s Canal run across north London from Limehouse Basin to Paddington. Yesterday we walked half of the route along the Towpath from Limehouse, where we live, to my sister’s place in Angel. It takes a while as you end up stopping off at cafes, galleries and shops half the time, but it’s worth it.
Here are a few of the pics I took on the way, I wish I’d taken more but there are loads by others of Regent’s Canal on Instragram.
